Hi needed help regarding my starting date of my job. I am supposed to start my job in US on october 25th and currently i am in india. But I am still waiting for my H1B approval. If
h1b petition is approved and If I interview after October 25th(Start date) for my visa at us consulate back in Mumbai, Is it ok or will there be a problem regarding start date meaning will consulate officer ask why i am late or your start date is already gone how can i issue a visa........any adivce regarding the situation.

It's taking anywhere between 4 to 6 weeks on an average after the introduction of the new lockbox system. We received our receipts in 29 days, so I don't think you should panic yet :)

If not EB1, even EB2 is fine because you belong to UK and EB2 is current for you. If you claim EB1, you can easily apply in EB2 and it's "current" for you.

If it is new 485 filing then you don't have A#.

A# on I-140 is nothing do with your 485.


Its has everything to do with 485 if its the alien # alloted to you at 140 stage and begins with a 0 (zero) thats your permanent alient number wont change for life.

But as far as not mentioning it is no big deal as your paperwork includes I140 copy or original whatever and shouldnt have any negative impact on the filing.

You need only AOS receipt, when you travel outside
So dont worry about EAD and AP receipts as you will get EAD Card and AP Doc directly to your address

So just ask AOS receipt saying you are planning for travel

When will they post inventory data? I got bored with analyzing/looking May 2010 inventory. EB3 filers like me needs something to munch on for next couple of years.
